Insurance

Around nine in ten of the pets we see are insured, and most policies cover referral consultations and treatment. We can submit direct claims with PetPlan, Sainsbury's, LV, Agria and Admiral for an administration fee. With other insurers you settle with us and claim it back. Anything your insurer declines to cover remains payable by you.

Estimates

You will have an estimate before anything goes ahead. If a plan changes at the appointment, we talk about the cost before we do it.

Why an hour

Reading the notes, running the consultation and writing the report takes around four hours per patient. All three are part of every appointment rather than optional extras, which is why the fee is higher than a standard vet visit.

Not sure whether a pain consultation is the right next step?

Call and ask. If another specialist or referral centre is better placed to help, we will say so.
